Joseph was diagnosed with progressive keratoconus when he was in his late teens. He had watched his mother struggle with the condition for years growing up. Joseph was so inspired by his own experience with keratoconus that he decided to go back to school to receive his Ophthalmic Medical Technician certification. He now works directly with keratoconus patients as a Clinical Lead and Assistant Supervisor for a large practice in the Albany area.
