Robin was diagnosed with keratoconus in her early 30s and struggled to find a treatment option that was right for her. She has been wearing glasses and soft contacts since she was 10, but is finding that they no longer help her vision. Robin’s older son was also diagnosed with the condition in his late 20s and was able to preserve his vision with FDA-approved corneal cross-linking. Robin, now in her 50s, has learned that her keratoconus has in fact progressed and is planning to have the corneal cross-linking procedure as well.
