Sherri is the mother of Charlie, who was first diagnosed with progressive keratoconus when he was a sophomore in high school. Sherri faced many challenges raising a young child with vision issues, especially since Charlie was too young to articulate what was wrong. Ultimately, Charlie was diagnosed with keratoconus. He received FDA-approved corneal cross-linking in 2017 in both eyes, helping preserve his vision for the future.
